Terms of Service

These terms are an agreement between you and Rosy Home. By creating an account or using the app, you agree to them. If you do not agree, please do not use the service.

The service

Rosy Home is a mobile application for managing a household’s grocery lists and chores. We provide it on an ongoing basis and may add, change, or remove features as the product develops.

Your account

You need an account to use Rosy Home. You agree to give accurate information when you sign up, to keep your login credentials secure, and to tell us promptly if you believe someone else has accessed your account. You are responsible for activity that happens under your account.

You must be at least 13 years old to create your own account. If you are under 18, you may only use Rosy Home with the involvement of a parent or guardian. A parent or guardian may add a child of any age to a household as a member.

Households and shared content

Rosy Home is built around shared households. You should understand what that means:

• Content you add to a household — lists, items, chores, schedules — is visible to every member of that household.
• Other members can edit and delete content you created.
• Whoever creates a household administers it, including who may join and who may be removed.
• If you leave or are removed from a household, you lose access to that household’s content, and content you contributed may remain there.

Only invite people you trust with the information you put in the app.

Acceptable use

You agree not to:

• Use Rosy Home for anything unlawful, or to store content that is unlawful, harassing, or infringes someone else’s rights.
• Attempt to access another user’s account or household without permission.
• Probe, scan, or test the vulnerability of the service, or circumvent any security or rate limiting we have in place.
• Use automated systems to access the service in a way that places unreasonable load on our infrastructure.
• Reverse engineer, decompile, or resell the app.

We may suspend or terminate an account that violates these terms.

Your content

You keep ownership of everything you put into Rosy Home. You grant us a limited licence to store, copy, transmit, and display that content solely so we can operate the service for you and your household. That licence ends when you delete the content or your account, subject to the retention periods in our Privacy Policy.

Price

Rosy Home’s core grocery and chore features are currently free. If we introduce paid features in future, we will tell you clearly before anything you already use starts costing money, and the features you signed up with will remain available to you at no cost.

Availability and changes

We work to keep Rosy Home available and reliable, but we do not guarantee uninterrupted service. We may need to take the service down for maintenance, and we may modify or discontinue features. If we discontinue the service entirely, we will give you reasonable notice and a way to export your data.

Ending your use

You may stop using Rosy Home and delete your account at any time — see the account deletion page. We may suspend or terminate your access if you materially breach these terms, or if we are required to by law. Sections that by their nature should survive termination — ownership, disclaimers, limitation of liability, and governing law — do survive it.

Disclaimers

Rosy Home is provided “as is” and “as available”. To the fullest extent permitted by law, we disclaim all warranties, express or implied, including merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement. We do not warrant that the service will be error-free, that reminders will always be delivered on time, or that data will never be lost. Rosy Home is a convenience tool for household organization — do not rely on it as the sole record of anything important.

Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, Rosy Home will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or for any loss of data, profits, or goodwill, arising from your use of the service. Our total liability for any claim relating to the service will not exceed the greater of the amount you paid us in the twelve months before the claim, or twenty-five US dollars.

Some jurisdictions do not allow the exclusion of certain warranties or the limitation of certain damages. Where that is the case, the exclusions and limitations above apply only to the extent permitted, and nothing in these terms limits liability for fraud, death, or personal injury caused by negligence.

Changes to these terms

We may update these terms as the service changes. If a change is material, we will update the date at the top of this page and notify you in the app or by email before it takes effect. Continuing to use Rosy Home after a change takes effect means you accept the updated terms.

Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of the Commonwealth of Virginia, United States, without regard to its conflict of law rules. Any dispute will be brought in the state or federal courts located in Virginia, and you and we each consent to their jurisdiction. If you are a consumer resident in a jurisdiction that grants you the right to bring proceedings locally, nothing here removes that right.

Apple and Google

If you downloaded Rosy Home from the Apple App Store or Google Play, you acknowledge that these terms are between you and us, not with Apple or Google; that they have no obligation to provide support for the app; and that they are third-party beneficiaries of these terms with the right to enforce them against you.
